Long Time Underground King Talks Hip Hop

Featured artist: Skaz One - Long Time Underground King Talks Hip Hop

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Skaz One from Oakland to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Skaz One! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Skaz One: When I was younger I didn't fit in, this was before the counter culture was popular. It was a way to express myself that my friends and I could also use to make a career. As HipHop got more and more popular, it just motivated me even more to get my own music out there. The people I've met and worked with keep me going and they help me to remember to persevere and never give up. Not giving up is the key to why I still make music.

The best advice I ever got as an artist was to put all my energy behind my performance. In the booth and on stage. And in everything I do in this business, I always remember how I used to have more of a deadpan flow, but now people can really feel my music. It's definitely helped me find my sound as an artist.

- Skaz One

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I have and do play live. I also have done some live shows in the metaverse since the pandemic hit. But I've always performed, ever since I started seriously making music back in 2008. I've performed all over the United States, though I've done the most performances at home in the Bay Area.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I've released 7 solo albums over the last 13 years. Most recently I've been promoting an EP I'm releasing with my homie Young Aug. We have some heat on that album and I can't wait for the streets to hear it. My last solo release was entitled "I Don't Need an Excuse" and the upcoming EP is called "Live Ur Fuccin Life"

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

It would depend on the deal. I've enjoyed being independent and keeping all my money. But sometimes it would be nice to to have to manage everything alone. If an artist friendly label wanted to sign me though, I would give it serious consideration. It all depends on the contract I'm offered. I don't want to sell my soul.

Any last words?

I wanna shout out Yung Aug, Zanejay Music, Mistah Fab, Studio 3100, Asthmatik, Crease Reese, FTB Crew, Scott Foo, my brother Sam and the Feathered Underdogs Club! Also to anyone who supports my music or has ever supported my music!

The D’ussé Don

Featured artist: Highway Holiday - The D'ussé Don

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Highway Holiday from Los Angeles to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Highway Holiday! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Highway Holiday: I decided to become an artist when I realized I was good at putting words together that rhymed and telling stories at the same time. When I was first started everyone would always tell me that I needed to make a "real song" and finally I did.

Never stop. Your situation will be elevated by your hustle, grind and dedication.

- Highway Holiday

What about concerts? Do you play live?

My current plan is to do a tiny desk style of concert to promote my EP. As of now I perform an open mic venues mostly.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

"My youngin gone step on you then step over you like Iverson"
"30 in the clip I call him Curry he's a sniper man"

——Business Man
The D'ussé Don EP

- Highway Holiday

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I just released my first EP titled The D'ussé Don EP on February 25, 2022. It has 4 songs which are all released individually as singles also.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would definitely sign a contract with a major label as long as the terms were understood and clear from the beginning. The pros of signing to a major label would obviously be the machine they are able to put behind your promotion and marketing and radio is still a viable source to make a star. The cons of signing with a major label would be you don't own your own material and you're not in control of what you release and when you release.

Any last words?

Definitely IllyOnTheBeat for recording the entire EP also mix and mastering it and producing The Beat for the song OMW.
My Business Partner JCousin. And also Ericka and The Strange Fruit Empire.

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Page1! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Page1: Music was just in my soul, from the first time I heard hip-hop I knew that was my lane.

The best advice I could give to another artist, is to be you and do it from the heart. You are your biggest investment so invest well.

- Page1

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I can perform with or without a band.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Pistols and grands everyday over not eating / you not sleeping kuz you hungry that's the reason.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm currently working on a Lp called "Randoms"

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would sign a single deal just to get my feet planted deeper in the soil. That is the pro for me and the con would be, that they're going to eat off me lol

The Gold Coast Is Talking

Featured artist: JDHD - The Gold Coast Is Talking

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist JDHD from the Gold Coast to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, JDHD! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

JDHD: I didn't really decide it was more a fact it chose me. I have always been into poetry but didn't really get into lyricism until about a 18 months ago.

Never be discouraged, believe in yourself and go for it. Don't give up but also understand you will have to make sacrifices.

- JDHD

What about concerts? Do you play live?

150%. I love to perform live. I love to perform at any opportunity in front of a live audience. It is the most inspiring feeling you can imagine.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

"I've got a tissue for your issue. You know usually I wouldn't diss you, it's a new year and I choose you like Pokemon when I pick at you (Pikachu)"
- JDHD

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm currently working on my debut 14 track album right now and currently just released a single "Blast Off" check it out on Spotify. I also have some videos on YouTube and another one in production right now but more to come in 2020 so stay tuned.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I think with the right guidance and negotiations between my team and I, i'm sure I would sign to a major label as the pro's would be having my music heard by a mass audience as the major labels have the resources that a lot of independent artists and labels don't have access to but also labels are a business and profit driven and ownership over all my creative work just doesn't sit right with me.

Any last words?

I would like to give a massive shout-out to Mansion Music Group, AON Entertainment and Trashy White founder of AON Entertainment for all the opportunities they have provided me I wouldn't be where i am without them. I would like to give huge thank you to Peter Smith form Omni 360 for investing in me and my music your support is beyond appreciated and last but not least anyone who has put in work into my music and supported me on my journey so far. Thank you all.

Paving the way

Featured artist: Youngworldibi - Paving the way

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Youngworldibi from Lancaster to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Youngworldibi! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Youngworldibi: It was always something I was good at since a teen, now after being locked up it was only right to chase the dream. This been a long time in the making, and just getting started.

No matter how hard it gets and how down you get about your music not making much progress just keep on going and growing as an artist. If you have the talent eventually people are going to hear you and start listening to your music. Just continue to create, grow as an artist, and promote your music!

- Youngworldibi

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Have not yet performed. When the time comes I will be ready.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

I told y'all this wasn't a game. There's no stopping now. This music is gonna keep on coming until I get my foot in the door.
- Youngworldibi

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I have an official EP out not "The Hunger For More" I also have a brand new Single "Rock Boy" being released March 19. You can press it to be notified and able to listen to it the moment it's released by going to this site : https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/youngworldibi/rock-boy
Also have another Single "Mountain Top" being released May 19. Also more music I haven't yet decided on when to release and currently working on even more music. As I said before, much more to come.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

It all depends on what they're offering, but yes if the terms are good then I definately would. The pros are they have a lot of money to spend, really get your music out there to the mass, get you airtime and book big shows, have deep connections in the music industry, and so much more. Some of the cons are you have labels that will try to get you to sign a bad deal, there's always the chance your career will be shelved if they don't believe in the music you recorded, you'll most likely be locked into a multi album deal that you can't get out once contract is signed, and things can go wrong that you can't get out of once that contract is signed.

Any last words?

Want to give a shoutout to my city and all those that have been showing me love! Can't do it without y'all. We all we got!

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Tylr C from Saginaw to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Tylr C! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Tylr C: From my love of music, I've loved music ever since I could understand what it was at an early age, I started to fall in love with hip-hop specifically around the age of 12, I've been making music since I was 13 and I'm 19 now so about 6 years

The best advice I would give is to just always work on your craft, and always know there will always be haters, and there will always be people who appreciate your craft, you have to focus on the people who appreciate it and build off of that.

- Tylr C

What about concerts? Do you play live?

My collective 'Cult Encounters' has done a few shows in the Northern Michigan area, a lot more coming too, R.R.G x Cult Encounters Co. show is March 17th as Studio Anatomy I believe.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

I have like over 400 songs on my drive but I really love a little part of a verse on my newest solo album, it goes:
just dancin wit my devil tryna not lose my balance
i was gifted wit some talents
so i gotta own it every second
this mic be my weapon
but it's only my first
you know I gotta second
a third and a fourth
we in the south not the north
where they just knock down yo doors
- Tylr C

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm always just making tunes everyday, I just finished my solo album titled 'I Just Wanna Rap' and my collective 'Cult Encounters' which consists of 4 rappers and 3 producers, just finished our first full length collective/group album titled 'LethalEncounters' but in general we're always just making tons of music, right now we're not working on a specific project since we just finished our 2 big releases for this year, $adflcko is going to be starting his 2020 solo album 'A War Of Words' in the next couple of months also.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I wouldn't unless it was like $10 million or some crazy shit like that, we fully independent Cult Encounters till the grave

Listen to the re-birth of Hip-Hop

Featured artist: Jody Poem - Listen to the re-birth of Hip-Hop

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Jody Poem from San Antonio to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Jody Poem! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Jody Poem: I grew up watching my father teach a drum-line and later on admired as he put effort into becoming an artist and producer. I knew when I was older music would be my life so I tried everything else in school. After graduating high school I took a detour by joining the US Army but it didn't work out because I ended up being medically discharged. So once I was medically discharged I knew it was time to focus my life on music to change the image people have in mind when they think of an MC.

The best advice I've received was from my father. He told me to take it easy with working on music and staying in the home studio all the time. He reassured me that I was born to do this so there was no need to rush. I would personally tell another artist to relax because you can't rush greatness. It comes in time with experience. The opportunities will come just focus on your craft while you wait for your time to shine.

- Jody Poem

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I have only performed once and it was in front of "Knowledge" from Atlantic Records A&R.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Can a double minority even make it big?
- Jody Poem

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently working on my album S.O.S. (Search Of Significance). I have released a single before called Lost One. Lost One is the first taste of what S.O.S. is going to become.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes, I would love to have the opportunity to positively influence the world. The Con of signing would be not being able to spend time with my kids and wife as much as I'd like to. The Pro would be putting myself in a position to give my wife everything she deserves and being able to give my kids a better life and better future.

Any last words?

Shoutout to D.M.A.C. and Trece for putting me on to the rap game. Shoutout to all the people who mentored me and helped me when I was down on my luck. Shoutout to my wife and kids because they made me the man I am today. Shoutout to Texas for always keeping it 100 with me. Then a final Big shoutout to San Antonio and my Mom. The way they raised me saved my life.

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Teleon The Don from Indianapolis to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Teleon The Don! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Teleon The Don: I started battle rapping at the age of 12 after being influenced by the 90's Hip Hop era. My sister and my uncle played a very important role in building my confidence and lyrical ability. I also began writing songs with my best friend after creating a dream that would become my first love, Hip Hop.

Never give up, sometimes you can see, that's hard, but you can do it.

- Teleon The Don

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I definitely am open to performing live and doing concerts.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Devastated like I'm constipated now they salivating cause it's that amazing, participating when you hit the pavement if you miss a payment we gone get it blazing."
- Teleon The Don

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently creating free music for my fans every week on the Teleon The Don fan Facebook page, but I have a complete library of music that can be found on all streaming services.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would sign a recording contract if I was allowed creative control. I believe it's a blessing to get paid for something you love to create. My only fear would be to become something other than my original self.

Any last words?

I want to thank God, my wife, my kids, and my family whom continues to support my music. Also big ups to Indianapolis and Dallas for giving me so much inspiration for my music.

Werk or clock out

Featured artist: The Real John Dough - Werk or clock out

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist The Real John Dough from Montgomery to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, The Real John Dough! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

The Real John Dough: I was always a poet. Music is poetry. We're expressing our feelings combining poetry with music. As a kid I would listen to songs on the radio and think of ways i could've did it better with my own cadence. I would listen to rap songs and sing the artist rap verses. When I was too young to work I would sing for food in the fast food restaurants. I think thats when I fell in love with performing in front of an audience. The thing that got me into songwriting is the fact I was too shy to talk to the girls at school so I would write melodic raps about what I would say to them if I had the courage. This started in elementary.

Hard Work (Werk) speaks for itself

- The Real John Dough

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes i do performances. Im working(werking) on putting a live band together to switch my performances up from time to time. I usually like to do things to stand out so the audience remembers me.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Got more kick then Bruce and Jet Li just call me Sensei.
- The Real John Dough

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I used to be a song writer for grammy award winning producer Khao. He used to shop hooks and songs with his beats. I've also done music videos for Lil baby, yfn Lucci, 2 Chainz, you name it. I'm currently releasing my own music. Strategically dropping a bunch of singles in the streets verses releasing an ep or mixtape. I think all my songs are potential singles so I want each song to get it's shine. A childhood friend of mine who has a company by the name of Quaty Musik and I just shot 2 videos during the Christmas break and both are bubbling in the streets. My first single is "Heart in the Way" (a song about watching people in your circle). Sometimes we know we should cut them off but our heart gets in the way sometimes.
Another single which is "Missin U"( rip Doe b, My brother Kendrae, and whole bunch of people my city loss). Heart in the way is currently streaming on all services such as Spotify and Apple music. By the time this comes out Missin U(Diana Ross remake) will be too.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the paperwork is right and they can offer something I can't do myself. Pros are that they'll open certain doors that you can't. The cons are that you're locked in a contract and they get a bigger percentage than you. Artists usually get crumbs when we want the loaf.
Thats a punchline right there. Lol

Any last words?

Shoutout God first of all. Shout out to my brother Trik who been riding wit me since the beginning, shout out to Quaty Musik for teaming up with me for these visuals, rip my brother Kendrae, rip Doe b(he was putting the city on the map) free AJ and shoutout to the life lessons for giving me material for a song.

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Natalac! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Natalac: I always had something to say so & since i could always captivate peoples attention without a beat so i knew i could do it with a beat.. ya know.

No cryin' in hip hop was the best advice I ever got in hip hop so seeing so many rappers cryin' bout their career ain't where they wanted it. I think it's really feminine.

- Natalac

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes, I perform live with a band sometimes if the budget allows that or I just do it solo.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

The only way I'd sign a deal at my stage of the game is if it's a good contract - means, if my lawyer, who knows me says it's a good deal for my future.. I really don't like giving up my authority to make my own moves cuz i own 3 biz and im the Ceo of each.. Natalac Records, Natalac Express & Masters Touch Hair Institute. Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Ds Dakati! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Ds Dakati: My father was a percussionist and my mother was a vocalist so my passion started through family musicians when i hear Hip-Hop. I immediately wanted to try it and I wrote my 1st rhymes in 6th grade.

Nobody ever gave me good advice, they just told me to change my name when i really started making mixtapes because i went by the name DanxSmoke in the early stages of my career so about 6 years ago I changed my name to what it its currently: Ds Dakati

- Ds Dakati

What about concerts? Do you play live?

yes i play live as much as im allowed but dealing with promoters I would have to say is the worst

Best punchline you ever wrote?

How you gangster when the gun weight more then you do / Fake bloods Fake crips with the voodoo / I'm from the hood but I dont do what you do lying bout sending weight on the chu-chu (train)

Song: Alone

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm currently working on my album Evolve, hopefully it will be dropping late november. I've released 3 songs of of it already 1.not quite 2.Alone 3.younger self

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If it had more benefits than clauses and if the advance had options for more advances then that would be a pro but then the cons are giving up a piece of your publishing also giving up a piece of your masters and them not promoting you right or giving you the features that you want on your album

...and then LeCadre (finally).

Featured artist: LeCadre - …and then LeCadre (finally).

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist LeCadre from Brooklyn / Houston to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, LeCadre! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

LeCadre: I've always been an artist, lol at least in my head. I wrote my first song when I was around twelve or thirteen. I thought you had to write the entire time length of the music so that song was like 4 pages front and back. I don't think I ever let anyone hear that one.

The best advice given to me would be "keep going" if you stop now, you will be mad at yourself for being in the same spot that you're in. So no matter what, "keep going."

- LeCadre

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Play live? Man I have live conversations! I try to make my shows more than an "I perform, you watch" situation. I like to engage with my audience, if I'm having a f*ucked up day I'll probably talk about it at some point during the show. I think it helps the crowd relate to you that much more.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

"You really must not really care nicca,
that your bitch all up in here nicca,
she fucking up all of her hair nicca,
cuz Cadre might let her get near a nicca."

- LeCadre

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Right now I'm working on the 2nd EP in a collection of three that I call my "Dialog Catalog."*(tm)
Basically it's three EP's of me letting the world get to know me before we embark on this wild ass ride.
The first EP was "…and then LeCadre" released Nov. of 2018. You should check it out!

#LeCadre

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I'd consider it but I try to shoot for a joint venture if possible. I mean the financial backing is a beautiful thing but there's something to be said for building something from the ground up. You take a sense of pride in that, like that's my baby. I made her into a monster and now no one can stop her.

Any last words?

Oh hell yea, absolutely! First and foremost want to shout out the "DayneGang" those my mfuccn people!
2nd, I'd like to shout out the entire city of Houston, my 2nd home. Soufwest!
3rd, Brooklyn you already know, my point of entry…

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Wiz Mars! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

TheOnlyThingToFearIsFearItself: Meet DREAD.

Featured artist: D R E A D (DreadTripleSix) - TheOnlyThingToFearIsFearItself: Meet DREAD.

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist D R E A D (DreadTripleSix) from Tampa to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, D R E A D (DreadTripleSix)! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

D R E A D (DreadTripleSix): I decided to get into rap/hip-hop after contributing most of my life to being instrumentally virtuous so that I could rip the stage like Randy Rhoads or Eric Clapton, or whoever else I idolize even to this day- then seeing my skill increase without a proportionate increase in an audience.

When you feel like quitting, don't.

- D R E A D (DreadTripleSix)

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I have played live shows in the past but only as a rock/metal artist. I've only done one show as DREAD.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

I don't really wanna give a punchline. If you're really interested, just go listen to the music until you find one you like.
- D R E A D (DreadTripleSix)

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently working on four different releases, simultaneously and I have released five tapes this year alone. The previous releases of this year amount to roughly two hours of content, which I'm just OK with. My ideal is to work as quickly as possible with good quality and substance, not necessarily in that order of importance.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

My answer is probably, no. DefJam records called me some time ago and my initial reaction was really to just hang up on the person at the other end of the line. I think the pros really just stop at the amount of money they may invest in you as an artist as well as the money you may earn.

The cons are nothing short of losing your sovereignty as an artist. Labels tell you when to write, what to write, how to sound, etc.. The loss of individual artistic liberty is enough to deter me from signing practically any deal.

Any last words?

I work with many different producers from all over the world and there are some artists in my circle worth mentioning.
They are, @BaphometBeats, @ItsLucid2 @LftdHghts, @Slxin, @tms_btz, @Tyrgodd, YungBundy and TripDaMang.
All are producers, the latter two are also rappers, you can search each of these on SoundCloud or even find their handles in the descriptions to my tracks, as I credit everyone associated with each release.

The florida rapper that got the streets talking...

Featured artist: Redd Moody - The florida rapper that got the streets talking...

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Redd Moody from Gainesville to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Redd Moody! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Redd Moody: When I was in high school, I seen one of my partners Pakman Blaze do a talent show.He performed a song that he wrote and produced/ recorded right in his room at his home all his self! After he walked off stage the whole school went crazy! Back then, way I'm from there was no local rappers at our age with a recorded song out back then! So seeing the response from the way he rock that crowd made me say to myself, damn I can do that! Plus I had be writing songs in class all day and rapping in the lunch room with a few of my homies who listened to rap music. After leaving the talent show I went home and started working on a tape.I got the bass boosted tapes to record on with two tape players, one to play the beat and one to record my voice. It was over after that! Lol ,I never stop doin music since that day forth!

"Let your actions speak louder than your words!"

Being a rapper is so competitive and everyone is trying to discredit everything you say and do at every moment. Bruh, you have to learn how to separate yourself from negative people, who are not in-line with what you are trying to accomplish. You will be tested over and over but one thing your haters can't take away from a artist is your work. Most of the time a artist gets the most criticism from people who can't even write a rap or rhyme to save their life! The only way to shut those critics up is threw your actions! Once you prove them wrong, over and over without arguing or getting upset with them, you'll usually win them over!

- Redd Moody

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yeah, I have been doin shows in Florida this past year ,I try to get booked as much as I can. I haven't had a show in almost two months because I was working on finishing up this new ,#certified project!
But I do have some shows on the calendar for next month and the month after so I can't wait to get back on stage and rock out with this GShit I just just dropped!
Oh and if anyone wanna book me for ya birthday partys, or events you can hit the email reddmoodybookings@gmail.com
This is the only booking email to book me at!!!
Prices going up soon so get at me ASAP before my project drop 1st of the year. I will come rock yo shit and show love to yo city or town!knowdat

Best punchline you ever wrote?

"I know he working fa dem people he been ah snitch / if they lookin for some chicken tellin em Popeyes got sandwiches"
- Redd Moody

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm currently working on dropping a new song every few months until I drop my CERTIFIED project!
It's gone be hard I promise.Thats all I do,i mean from the beats to the lyrics,I'm goin in like its my last time rapping or something! I know the type of music I do created a lot of hate towards me because I speak the truth in my songs and I don't hold back on how I feel about situations that really be goin on in our area of North Florida. By doing that, it's a lot of fans that look up to me fa being so bold & aggressive in my music during this climate of the rap world that is all about not offending the wrong people, but I feel that's what makes me stand out and a lot of people salute me for standing for something and not being a yes man! My music redefines the definition of down south gangsta music! I'm standing on that old law,the same mind set 2pac had when he was in his creative state of mind.We just built different in North Florida and we don't give up easy, the motto around here is we don't get mad we get even! And that's really how shit is down here so my music speaks on real life emotions that street cats feel and the mind set in which they are in that leads up to why a lot of things take place in the streets.I speak about trust, love, hate, jealousy, friendship, loyalty, lust, pain,
Betrayal, anger, depression, gun violence, and a lot more realistic things..but I put the medicine in the candy so to say! I'm not going to preach or judge ,I just get a hardcore raw ass beat and I get Str8 to the point ,raw and uncut! And my fans love it!

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yea,I would sign to a major, i fell there is only so far you can go on your own as an independent artist and one day I wanna be on the radio and billboards top 10! That's just a dream of mine to have a machine behind me to get my voice heard all over the world at one time and everybody knows my song. So with the right situation and team behind me I would do it. I have turned down deals before but I was stuck in my old way of thinking back then and I was trying to prove a point to a few people that I can do it on my own! But I learned that you need a team and at the end of the day it's about handling your business as a artist. I want to sign with a major to learn from them on how the enter machine works so I can one day partner with a major and run my own company! Plus I want to make my mark in my area to show these youngsters that it's possible to come from where we come from and make it to a level we only dream of! So yes,i would definitely sign..i always looked up to cash money records and I like how Atlantic records put out there artist as well as interscope!

Any last words?

SayNie,i wanna give a Big salute to Putnam County,Fl that's what molded me into the person I am today!
City of Palatka,Fl is a big part in the shaping of my music because I can up listening to a few big dawgs from east Palatka such as Korner boy entertainment with Twan Dallas He was the 1st Rapper to ever put Putnam County on the map and it was rumored that T.I. Stole his song "SET IT OUT" which was a major hit in our area and they say Tip put the song on his group PSC (pimp squad click) album back in the day and that had the city upset fa sum years i remember. Then you got the L&HH reality star lil Scrappy who use to rap and had a song called "Headbussas" out back in the day around the time that shit happen with Ti and Twan D. Lil Scappy came to our section and did a show a my uncle cluband called out the whole city like we just pussy or weak down here! Excuse my language bruh but ,this fuck nigga just did an interview about a week ago acting like he don't know why the whole hood jumped on him in the club that night! "Lil Scrappy know why they jump on him", he got on the mic and say that we was country, lame, and dirty! Then he say he don't see no Gs in the building and that we act like we don't love him …somebody even said they heard him say fuck 3rd life! And that's a good in Putnam county that is well known fa gang bangin so what you expected my nigga? My lil dawg who died shortly after all that shit happen was the one who hit Scrappy in his mouf that night! The whole city knows this.i just dropped a song and I didn't hold back on how I feel about dawg! I don't really do the rap beef shit and how I see it this ain't no beef, but you not bout to mention my section and not get a response from one of the certified steppas that's all I know! It's 3 Main Street rappers that's well known in Putnam County, and I'm one of them! Knowdat it's my duty to say something ya heard meh!
