Featured artist: Buddha Godd - A young bull stomping

As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Buddha Godd from Rockville to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Buddha Godd! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Buddha Godd: As a kid, ive always been around music whether it was in the streets or michael jackson blasting out the boom box, so i decided at a young age to start rapping

"Don't ever let em say you didn't put 100% into this s***! They drool at the thought of you getting lax….Prove 'em wrong!"

- Buddha Godd

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yeah I played live a couple times, mostly only in front of parties or kickbacks but I want to be mainstream pretty soon.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Like Lamarcus Aldridge playing Big 12, its a major difference between "U" and "I"
Every nigga riding for they dawgs, until them bitches get euthanized
- Buddha Godd

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I just put out my debut project for the summer that i been working on for about a year and a half. Joint titled "God Gold Glory" and its 9 hard songs on there expressing a lot of what i been through

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I wouldn't because of the fraudulent activity you hear huge artists had to go through over a crooked management deal. However, no underground artist gets paid the amount of money that signed artists do all by themselves either

Any last words?

240 you know i got you, but for now the 757 my logo!

Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?
