Featured artist: Wingo Flames - Music chose me
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Wingo Flames.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Wingo Flames: Around the Age of 10 i found out that my mom and my aunt (her sister) rapped back when they were coming up My Aunt had spit a rap to me and her daughter to learn… I learned the rap fast perfected the delivery and would go around spitting it everywhere for everybody Couple years later my mom bought me a tape recorder for my birthday and i would buy instrumentals write my own raps and spit over the beat on my tape recorder.. I liked hearing my self ….so from there i just did it everyday
The Best advice given to me as an artist was from an A&R who gave me some industry insight.. He told me being a Artist your job is A Entrepreneur…u get what u put in to it if you lazy its gone show, if you working its gone show…. Just off that alone dictate your success .. If you dont push your self then You dont want it.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Im always rocking the crowd all throught out the Tri-State area.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Wig Shot thats Ragu for ya pasta, dont make me leave your noodles on ya partna (something light)
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Im Fresh off my Latest Album I Love It I Live it 3 which can be found in All your Digital Stores. & Outlets. Nxt up me and my Producers cooking up A EP cant give a Title or release date just yet its all for theme and promo keep your eyes open
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As of now I would sign to a Major… A major can possibly introduce me to the world … And its in my hands from there.. Some of the pros from a major, major can help me build relationship with the right people…. That would say No to your average Joe… Some cons being commited to a contract , certin restrictions, gotta pay that loan back.. Possibly being shelfed or waiting for ever to get your chance lol .
