How did you decide to become an artist?
Desiree McKinney: I found more purpose in my life helping others and the best way to reach people is through song.
The best advice I received is you can do it on your own. Being indie in 2017 is a blessing.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I give concerts all the time. I just preformed at LA trade tech. The crowd was amazing. Los Angeles is very welcoming.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
When u do the best u can u don't trip over losses.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I just released my album A Square's Daughter April 14, 2017. It is available everywhere. Right now i am preforming and i will be releasing a music video soon.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
As of now i would not sign with a major label. Unless it was the right control for my family and I. The pros are a machine behind you but i am a machine.
Any last words?
Shout out to Houston TX always i love my city and my people in it. No place like home. God has us all all over every color every gender.
