Heart of The South

Featured artist: Archangel - Heart of The South

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Archangel.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Archangel: I didn't honestly. I was into poetry of course I was in a church choir singing in my adolescence and I've always mimicked songs I heard as a child. I never would've imagined that I would be in this line of entertainment. It all happened by a childhood friend pressuring me to do so. My biggest influence is Jason Riddle, may his soul rest peacefully. This was a childhood friend of mine. I started out writing poetry, but at the time I had no interest in music and he read one of my poems and kept harassing me to make a rap out of one of them. He pushed me on it so much that I actually gave in and started

This is a business. You can have all the talent in the world but if you don’t know the business part you’ll lose everytime

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Of course that is the best part of creating music being able to deliver it live to the masses.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Biggest pain in my life yea that there came from family they say blood is thicker than water H2O what they hand me

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently work on a project with my brothers called The Foundation under my publishing company Ground Level Leaders. Yes I have a number of projects that have been released since 2008.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

It all depends on the structure and the breakdowns of the situation. The pros of a major label is a big engine behind you to help you reach places you may not have independently and the cons is you lose the sole rights of the art you produced.

Any last words?

Memphis Period that city alone made. All my fam with Ground Level Leaders, Double F Ent and anyone who finds themselves getting lost in music to make it throughout the day or just to get through circumstances.

Where can we contact you?

Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.
