Behind The Music With Indie Artist 6 Sense

Featured artist: 6 Sense - Behind The Music With Indie Artist 6 Sense

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist 6 Sense.

How did you decide to become an artist?

6 Sense: I began writing rhymes in middle school, and recording on a tape recorder. What started off as a hobby quickly became more. By my sophmore year in high school I had recorded my first street album. From there my progress as artist seemed to grow each time the pen touched the pad. At that point I decided I wanted to make music a career, and never looked back.

A piece of advice that has always stuck with me is to always have fun with it no matter what.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes I do play live being from a city thats not big on hip hop venues I do a lot of gigs on the road. Ive performed up and down the east coast from New York to Georgia.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

”This one for the culture it’s in my dna”

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I just released my new single ”The Culture” feat. DNA you can purchase it on iTunes or Google Play. The video for the single was also released recently and that can be seen on YouTube.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If the right deal presented itself the pro’s of a deal is being promoted to a bigger audience, and of course more money. The cons is having less control. which I get that with being a independent artist I enjoy being able to create, and make the final decision.

Any last words?

I would like to shout out my wife Jackie and our children who has been very supportive from day 1. I would also like to shout my producer/engineer Young SPIT. I write and lay the verses, but he puts that final touch on it to make me sound good. I would also like to shout out RL Terry he has taught me a lot business wise on my journey in this game. Last, but not least I would like to shout out Skylyn Hagins for the countless radio spins, and show platforms he has giving me.
