Featured artist: Ace Knightz - The Rise Of Ace
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Ace Knightz.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Ace Knightz: I’ve been in tuned with music my whole life, always bumping my head listening to the greats, like 2pac, biggie, big pun, snoop, nas, hov, em, slick rick, too many to count to be honest. But by the time I was 10 I was going thru a lot with family issues & what not, I listened to 2pac – so many tears, and I understood every lyric so strongly at a young age, it inspired me to pick up a pen & start writing, and I loved it, I loved being able to write, to paint a picture that somebody might be going thru, whether happy or sad, and just the sport & competition behind it, I’ve thrived on being the best, the goat of hip hop for all it represents, and here I am at age 19 still going strong and pressing on, hip hop is really who I am and I wouldn’t give that up for anyone honestly.
The moment you lose the passion you have for the music you had when you just started, you will lose yourself.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yeah, ive performed at a few spots and what not to give the fans & people what i offer to them as an artist, all going well.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I was born a cold capricorn heartless to most but some things i love, one track mind i came to devote, sanctified hope the holy ghost, was the best before i knew i was no wonder my zodiac sign a GOAT, lets go
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Currently im working on my second tape which would be my first solo, Casino Ace, which i been in the works with since the moment i finished Stunna City, the first tape i collaberated with my former group on, Casino Ace is basically about the gambles in life, from risking it all to be the person you dream of becoming, to letting it all slip through your fingers to end up being an underachiever, ive been dropping songs off the project Casino Ace, i just dropped ”She thrill” which is a track thats supposed to be on the Tape, along with ”Sunsets & Night Riders” another one, ive also dropped cover freestyles, like poundcake, & move that dope, ive been active & grinding to get the job done
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, but with everything good there comes the bad, i figured the worst thing about
Any last words?
