Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Louie Coleman.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Louie Coleman: I decided at the age of 12 listening to L L Cool J. The B.A.D album made me see that I can be an MC. I wrote one rhyme, I wrote it so fast that I started freestylen. I became a battle rapper. When my mom moved us back to New York I went full fledge at the lunch tables. From a battle rapper to gangsta rap. And now I do a style of music that I call ”Concrete Blues”. A form of rap that gives knowledge to the people.
Stop cursing so much in your rhymes.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
No live instrument, but I produce all my music. And yes with the right set up I would do concerts.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
i’m tire of these cowards fakin jax, wanna be down but get disowned like the Redbacks.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Right now I’m working on a new MixTape.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a distribution deal because I’m already signed to my self Spazzout Records.
