How did you decide to become an artist?
RICC LACE: TO BE ILL , ever since i can remember . never really decided on becoming an artist , its as if the MUSIC chose me . since day one, i have had a constant beat playing in my soul & on my mental and have just always been music capable… no b/s tho, ever since i heard my first (2-pac) track and heard the depths in which he was able to explain and or interpret his thoughts into words… real life !!!!!
the best advice that i have been given as an artists ? most definitely was from another AZ artist ( AZ MIKE MILL ) WHO TOLD ME NEVER TO EXPECT NOTHING LESS THAN EXCELLENCE IN MY MUSIC and also to push all boundaries in all directions and genres of music . REAL TALK !!!
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I CAN , I AM AND I WILL BE VERY SOON !!! AZ based.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
i am not a punch line rapper. ( I’m a realist ) my style is influenced by ( LITERARY realism ) not only in the but, also in the authenticity of the lyrics & sound…LIFE!!!
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
At this time I’m , I am working on my L.P. titled ( THE ILL LIFE ) and have a couple collabs in the process .
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes, mos def. pro. getting real exposure to the music industry. / cons. not having complete oversight on future projects , who you work with & why !

WORKING ON SO MUCH BRAND NEW MATERIAL , PUTTING THE FINISHING TOUCHES ON MORE THAN A FEW GUARANTEED TO BE INSTANT CLASSICS , I HAVE NO DOUBT THAT MY ABILITIES HAVE BEEN PUSHED TO THEIR LIMITS AND I BELIEVE THAT I HAVE EXCEEDED MY OWN EXPECTATIONS .
