Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist STATUS(iamthestatus).
How did you decide to become an artist?
STATUS(iamthestatus): Well becoming an artist was the follow up to wanting to write music. I was about 13 or 14 when i first freestyled, I must say it wasn’t the best of a flow but it was the feeling that arose in me that led to the start of my career.
1st of all… give it 100 percent, and be able to make changes and take advice. Stay focused and dont ever focus on the negative. Stay positive humble and focused on your plan.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes I do entertain in live events.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Currently im working on cover projects. This is the best form of reaching a target audience and provide them a feel on how you sound on their favorite rappers tracks you know.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes indeed i would. The pros of signing a major deal are the obvious i.e; exposure, network, distribution, a check etc… The cons in my opinion are having to bite the sock and do as your told even if its not who you want to be conveyed as you feel me.
