Featured artist: D.Trump - D.Trump’s Interview
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist D.Trump.
How did you decide to become an artist?
D.Trump: I began my music career as a music manager. I’ve always had a passion for music and I would randomly do features with other artist just for fun. I recorded a single produced by Deceptaconz Productions in 2011 and my producer B. Smith told me that I was wasting a gift giving by God. Every since I been going in and he still does my production.
Have patience. Success comes with hard work and you will have to put in long hours to have an extensive, successful career.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes, I’ve done concerts all over the south eastern region.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Getting money yeah i gotta let it stack up. Like a chick with fake tits i be racked up, Cop a pound of the purp then I sack up, Chopper make a nigga constipated how he back up
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I recently released my 2nd single titled Spill The Drank. I’m currently working on multiple mix tapes which will be released in 2015
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, I would sign a deal with a major label for the right money, publishing, and creative control. I feel that when you sign a deal if you don’t have any following then you really have no say in your contract agreement it’s more of take what you can get but if you go in to the contract with a following and educate yourself on contractual agreements then it’s really no cons to signing a record deal
Any last words?
I would like to give a shoutout to God, my son (Brayden), my ole lady, Bama Bread Entertainment, Capp Cassanova, Punch, Classic, Big A, Fuller, Inch, Botchy, Tia, Paco Dela Joya, Charm, Polo, Big Syke, and the entire state of Alabama. I also wanna give a shoutout to everybody thats grinding trying to live better.
