Music making gone serious!

Featured artist: King Poet - Music making gone serious!

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist King Poet.

How did you decide to become an artist?

King Poet: I became heavily involved with writing poems while going through mental adjustments. I found it as a way to escape my struggles. I felt way better overall and much more healthy as I was able to get alot of my darkest thoughts out on the empty notebooks.

It thought me how to become more patient and less anxious. In the meantime, I had some good music making experience since the age of 10. I thought myself how to play the guitar and engineer beats. Like 6 years ago, I decided to just focus on making rap beats and music. Every sound that I regestered in the books, came terrific experience and techniques.

I am glad I first explored rapping over my own music. I felt gratified by getting smooth, lyrically sound mixtape (Hidden Stanza). I like trying new things and always like searching for peoples masterpieces.

The biggest advise was to always Network with musicians, producers, and fans.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I haven’t played live yet, but I am currently active in practicing and setting up venues.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Pause yourself in this second. I rip it fast. I’m on top of my cash like I was presidents on top of cash.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently working on the first couple tracks of my second official project

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes and No. It really all depends what is in the offer and If the contract was legit. It’s not always smart to jump at the first bite. I would need to heavily work out the details.

Any last words?

Ya I want to shout out to Boston for Boston strong as well as the greatness of the sports team.
I represent Lowell, a growing city looking to prosper and remain historical.
