Upcoming Hip Hop Artist From the South Suburbs of Chicago

Featured artist: TMAS - Upcoming Hip Hop Artist From the South Suburbs of Chicago

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist TMAS.

How did you decide to become an artist?

TMAS: The way that i decided to become an artist was through inspiration. I grew up listening to every single Eminem track that was out, and was just amazed by his work. Then I later found out who Tech N9ne was, and I dont even know where to start with this guy. Best rapper on the planet with the craziest flow/wordplay i ever heard in my life. Had the chance to see him perform multiple times and meet him and it was just awesome to see him live his life like that and I said fuck it and picked up a notepad and never looked back. Once I found out that people told me to stick with it, I haven’t stopped since.

Stevie Stone of Strange Music saw me handing out my flyers before I opened up for him and just told me to keep doing that and do whatever you gotta do to get your name out there to the people.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I do play shows, I’ve opened up for multiple artists but Im about to do my biggest show yet and open up for the wild boy himself MGK(Machine Gun Kelly)

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Bitch I’m automatic like a gun spray, and I’m only heating up no sun rays.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Im currently working on a mixtape that nobody knows about and hopefully have it released sometime in the summer. Ive released some singles but now i think its to do a tape and put hella promotion behind it.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

The only way that I would sign to a major label is if they convinced me that they believed in me and showed me the money to prove it. The only problem is I just dont want them to restrict on what I can and cannot write about, FUCK THAT

Any last words?

I’d like to give a shout-out to my RidgeRats. Stayed true from day one, everybody is going to find out what RidgeReppin is all about. Just keep believing in me!

Where can we contact you?

TMAS: http://therealtmas.com/

Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.
