Featured artist: PRAISE UNO - HOTTEST NEW ARTIST
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist PRAISE UNO.
How did you decide to become an artist?
PRAISE UNO: Well I was in love with the art itself as a kid. At 14 wrote my first rap along with a friend who also rapped. At 15 I recorded my first song to a Nas instrumental and the rest was history.I Knew from then on what i wanted to be. i also want to add that recording in a real studio also made me want grind and get my own and learn the audio, and business side of it.Now Im self made i have my own studio so i make music at my own leisure no one can tell me nothing and now i dont have to depend on anyone i run my own label by myself which is great.
Stay consistent work hard and be humble because relationships in this industry are important.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
No i never played live and I never did a concert because i need a better support team i basically been doing this on my own .
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I dont have one i have so many i can’t answer that i need more time to think .
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Im working on a few mix tapes right now I have at least 5 mix tapes done song wise i just need to design covers promote it etc.No i never release any projects in the past because I’m patiently waiting to get with the right team to help out with those aspects of music. The only song i released was called death wish off of Dj Bhrama Bull Deathwish mix tape
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe/ Maybe not it would definitely be some firm negotiating because i know what I’m worth independently so the numbers would have to add up correctly.
Any last words?
Yea shout to the whole plainfield NJ my 100 Block boys Franknam and everybody from ma hood trying to make it happen.
Where can we contact you?
PRAISE UNO: Go to Praise one on sound cloud .
Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.
