Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Yung Grantz.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Yung Grantz: I decided to become an artist back in 8th grade in 2005. I met a couple people who did music and my whole life i grew up with my uncles playing guitar but i wanted to do something different. I started writing songs i couldnt call them raps or rock songs lol they were just rhymes on paper but i got together with my school friend Greg aka Baby Boi Laflare and he told me he raps so i tried it out and loved it we put on a random ass beat and my flow went to it. I was shocked at the fact that i would become a rapper and how would people think of me but over the years of practice from 2005-Present i had alot of doubts and hatred on me and my music but people grew up and actually understood what i was doing and they couldnt stop me. thats how i decided to become an artist and become a stronger person
The best advice given to me as an artist is to never stop what i love doing take advice from everyone and make it a little bit better next time.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I Play Live Yes and Recently ive been trying to hook up with Bars and Clubs being 21 now to get my music out there more. But i will always take any offer handed to me with a good meaning to it.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
My Best Punchline hmm would have to be ”Sorry i had to do this for my people bitch you aint on shit so gon n grab your needle I mean it you herion addict always Feening scratching and itchin like you always need it” Maybe not my best but good one that comes to mind!
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Im currently working on my album the name and date is TBA at the moment but yes i release songs all the time at www.soundcloud.com/grantz500
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would not sign a major deal because i like to be in control of my money and my time i wanna be the one who sets mine and my artists time to our fans and our convience not be a pet to a Major label Under Contract. Im faithful to my artists u need a break u got one!
Any last words?
I have to shout out my whole 1 Stack Music Group Team and Fly Away Muzik Group. Of course my family, friends and loved ones for helping me get to what im trying to accomplish in my life. ALSO iLOVE MY HATERS!
