Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist J-REEDZ.

How did you decide to become an artist?

J-REEDZ: You know, I grew up without knowing my real pops or real family from chicago, I was adopted when I was 3 weeks old…so about a year and a half ago, I was really going through a depressing time not knowing who I was or who I was supposed to be, you know what im sayin? So that’s when my adoptive mom (Kim) really eat down and finally explained to me who my real mom was (NO ONE ever knew who my pops was at all, so kim couldn’t really tell me about him…but it was not too long after that talk that I got arrested over some dumb shit. I was in the county and kim came to visit me l, and that she did some time and found my pops on facebook…all she knew was the name steve, so she look up everyone in chi town with the name steve, and steve davis really stiid out to her because she went through steves sisters profile and seen a lil baby that resembled me …like im talking…lookin amexactly how I looked when I was a baby, plus I looked like steve from his pictures…anyways she inboxed him and all his sisters and shit and asked them if steve ever had a son that was adopted…see at first steve was like ” who tf is kim ott? ” so he almost didn’t except the request bit its a releife he did….I found out that he use to rap, but he never made it…but he told me about our cousin that we have, Wata. I DONT know if you have ever heard of the cash money signed rapper Wata Gotti? Yes that’s my cuzin from bellwood…so I met my pops and that’s when I really started getting serious about my rapping…so I changed my name from Krazy-K lol, to something more industry, like J-REEDZ…it was about 6months ago when I really started to rexord in the studio…I decided to drop everything to be a rapper…and since I got my GED, I decided that I wanted to go to SAE institute in chicago for 16 months to get my assosiates in the music bussiness..but im still waiting still june of this month to go…it was like! a month ago from this day that I got J-REEDZ tatted on my neck to make things official…and a couple weeks later I got my first rexord deal…but I didn’t take it …it was a 10 year contraxt. But year because of my pops, and cuz wata gotti, I’ve been serious about my rap carreer. I made a soundcloud about a year ago when I was goin by the name of krazy k, I wasn’t really that good then but then when I met my real chi town fam and got the idea of who I was really supposed to be and how I was suppose to grown up I changed my flo up a lot, I changed my soundcloud name to J-REEDZ.. and today I got 933 followers…the bad thing is I still have the free demo version, so I cant rexord as long..and when someone follows me I can’t follow back because I’ve reached my limit for following people lol. It always asked me, do I wanna upgrade to profile..and im like shit…”I’ve gotten this far on soundcloud without paying, I ain’t fixin to pay no money for more plays, more followers, and more recording time” lol

to you know, do my own shit and not let hatin get to you. you know what im sayin? be yourself
