Featured artist: Fastblazed - She's taking over: Fastblazed
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Fastblazed.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Fastblazed: I decided to become an artist a couple years ago, when I was I younger I had a pure raging passion for music, I went to bed with it blasting, woke up to it blasting. I found music took me to places I've never been before, and made me feel different things , somewhere I could be myself and let out all my emotion without caring. To me music isn't just a sound, it's a vibe, a feeling, emotion, someone's story, and something that makes you feel, it's art. I had problems talking about what I was dealing with and what I was going through, so I would get lost in a song and just start writing and getting these ideas and different words to add into lyrics, that eventually would turn out be a meaningful good song to me. Being an artist is doing what you love with passion, having fun with it and making someone feel the way you feel in the song. Music speaks to everyone.
Just keep killing it, never give up. Dont be afraid to do what you love and be yourself, you'll eventually get the right attention.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I play live for my family and friends, have not did a live concert yet but hopefully I will get to that level!
Would absolutely love to do a live show!
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I wasn't born to be regular , or do regular shit.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Currently i am working on 3 new songs, I rap and sing so my material varies. I'm urging to have all 3 of them out in a month!
I just released "Mark my words" on YouTube yesterday, Which is a cover remix to Justin Bieber's "Mark my words" and also released "Feels like home" 2 weeks ago on YouTube.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
would I sign a record contract with a major label … it would really all depend. What do they want to change on me? What's going to be different? Will they change my tune or style of my music? Will my image have to change to "societies" standards? Will my "freedom" be taken away? Will I still be able to put out what I want? Or will I have to do the songs they want all the time? On the bright side, I would get help with my recordings and songs as I don't have a lot of experience with editing songs or recording things so my songs are basically just a record and put up with no fix. I would have help with my songs instead of working on them alone. My music would be better and a record label would be able to help me get the fan base I need to capture the attention of the right individuals. I would be able to do live shows and meet and greets and help change people views on life like my favourite artists did for me. So all in all, I would but it would have to also meet my standards as an artist not just theirs. I'm not in it for money I'm in it for passion.
Any last words?
