Qool Music is back 2017

Featured artist: J Qool - Qool Music is back 2017

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist J Qool.

How did you decide to become an artist?

J Qool: I decided to become an artist in 2009-2010 after first just wanting to produce and be behind the music scene. I really first started with music when i was about 11 doing gospel rap/making beats & performing songs with a couple of cousins at church I went to on 7mile and i75 in Detroit MI. The love for it just grew the older I got and was able to understand it more.

The best advice given to me as an artist was from a co worker I met a year after a year of being in Dallas, Tx. Last year in 2016 he told me to never let someone use you and to always make the kind of music you feel and not what anybody else wants. Basically stating to keep everything true to myself even when money is on the line.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

No I dont play live, Ive always wanted to learn how to play the guitar and maybe serenade the love of my life lol, but I have yet to give a concert, performed a few shows in Detroit.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Im good on a bad day

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently working on my first mixtape ever called "Something Out of Nothing" after 7 years of putting the pieces together and getting myself in the right space to put my all into any work I do musically.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

If it came down to it I would sign to a major record label if the price is right and its a partnership.

Any last words?

Shoutouts to my parents most and foremost, My 3 other siblings. My granny who passed last year. The whole city of Detroit and everybody who never gave up on me.
