Featured artist: ZFame - The poet in the shadows
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist ZFame.
How did you decide to become an artist?
ZFame: Back in 2013, I had just got back into writing poems here and there. My friend at the time was a rapper/singer. He read one of my poems I had laying in the car and he said I should start rapping.
The best advice I've ever been given was to make my own beats and read books out loud to help with pronunciation when rapping.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I don't play live or give concerts yet. I'm just now coming out on social media.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Cold stare in my eyes paralyze like galactic skies
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I'm currently working on a mixtape that I plan on putting out in November of this year. Until then, I will keep putting freestyles on social media and music videos to market myself and the team.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on how much space I have to move. In other words, how much creative freedom I will have.
Any last words?
Shout out to the BLACK Sleep, Cookout Boys, The Neighborhood Hero, Raleigh NC
