Featured artist: Bogustice - The Winter Soldier has arrived!
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Bogustice.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Bogustice: I been rapping since a very young age, around the age of 6.I was influenced by the whole lifestyle of hip hop and it sucked me right In I started off freestylin n battling/cyphering in the neighborhood and in school. As I grew up I matured and developed my own style and learned how to write rhymes.writing was very hard for me at first cuz I was so used to freestylin and ideas coming to me so fast it was hard to sit there and slow my thought process to write it down.but someone always told me freestylin will get me noticed but writing songs is what will take me to that next level.
never give up!! This isn’t an easy profession to pursue and you will have alot of things that will try to stand in your path but don’t let the words and actions of others deter you from wut u want.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I just started back doing live performances.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I’ll give you a punchline. The last of the humans that’s nice wit raps who can excite/a papoose in fight wit Zab jude in it/ It’s levels to this shit and hella slick wit rhetoric/complex like an oedipus more direct than a predicate/ ..Yall niggas delicate soft as hell you excel in it/..I’m all in my element any room I’m the elephant/ Choose to discredit my moves and snooze in the sediment/…losin ya leverage get sonic boomed for the eff of it/
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I just released my album The Winter Soldier available on iTunes, GooglePlay and Cdbaby.com. last year I dropped a mixtape that’s free for download on datpiff.com called The Gustice Legacy.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
it would have to be greatly beneficial. pros is I would be able to reach a larger audience have better promo and things of that nature.the cons is the artist is usually the last to get paid and you only get a small fraction of wut u actually earned and usually v they try to give u an image, try to dictate the direction of your music, try to get u to hand over your publishin and many other type of shady shit I don’t rock wit.
Any last words?
Shout out my family and all My Tundra Kidz out there that been riding wit me since day 1.salute to my homie and Super producer Casso of Standout Musik we on our way fam!! Shout out to my #1 inspiration my son, without him I probably woulda given up.and Shout out to all the haters and naysayers out there I mm a keep grindin on yall dudes to give yall something to hate on, I promise you that!
