Featured artist: Giichi - Future Rnb by Giichi
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Giichi.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Giichi: I started out as a drummer in a band in high school. After graduation everybody went separate ways & i became interested in making music on my own.
I always was kind of a computer nerd so it didn’t take to long before i started making beats on a pc. But real quick i felt the need for making songs instead of just beats.
And like lots of producers i guess, who start out, they have trouble finding talent to work with. Im also very attracted to songwriting so eventually it just came naturally. Right now i write & produce all my own material.
Be influenced but don’t let others pull you away, be you
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes I play Live but as a Live producer for an experimental Dance act called Monologue/Dialogue
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Im dealing pleasure with the right stroke
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Im currently working on my own project called Lucid dream & im working with other artists as well. I did release other music in the past but that was under another name as a producer.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes i would. The pros would be the fact that they can connect you with almost any artist or/and producer. They have a major influence in regards to marketing & distributing your material. Cons would be not having acces to certain kind of information that independent artists do have these days. I mean like the data of the people that are downloading or buying their music. Or the ability to put music out real quick like on soundcloud or something. Stuff like that makes contact with your fans more genuine and put you more in control of the connection with your audience, rather then just be on social media
Any last words?
Im originally from a Island deep in the Caribbean called Bonaire, so you already know what it is.. shoutout to everyone on that tiny dot in the ocean.
Where can we contact you?

Thank you for your time. We wish you and your career the success it deserves.
