Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist ILLADEL AKA Jon Doe.

How did you decide to become an artist?

ILLADEL AKA Jon Doe: I decided to become an artist when i got on the stage to first time to perform. it felt good to tell my story, to give my perspective and people actually like it. From then on out i knew i had something special.

The best advice given to me was ” God gave you vision. The one who goes harder than everyone else is the one that wins. Continue to hustle hard and stay INDEPENDENT”.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes, I do perform live shows and throw my own concerts. I believe that the live performance is can tell you a lot about an artist.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I’m currently on a new project call B.R.E.A.D ( Being Real EveryDay All Day). Its a word me and my friends use and its also a lifestyle for us.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

It really all depends. I rather have apartnership whit a label the to just sign as an artist. The pros to being with a major is the amount of people you can reach. I think a con could be the creative control you have over the music you make.

Any last words?

I’m representing Philadelphia. But as a whole i feel like i represent the culture. I want to give a S/O to @WESTFIVESEVEN , @FatalDaCannon, @grizzydagrinder , @DELLP215, @T_boyharden, @jaytesla, @beingparrish, @jordanplain ,@neogotme and many more. S/O everyone that support my music and what I stand for.
