How did you decide to become an artist?
McRee Boy Jones (@jayrone314): Well, it began actually on a tape cassette recorder. I was about 15. My little cousin who was about 3 years younger was in to rap. I was already around rappers coming up. But to dap into it. It struck a fire. Then i started recording in real studios once i got into highschool on the Southside of St. Louis Roosevelt.
Dont stop grinding. Keep persistancy and a the love for why you started.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I am a battle MC in the underground culture. I travel state to state (Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, just to name a few) and battle mc’z in top rank. They pay us, fly us out & contracts are set for locked dates.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
you want a punchline… i want a instant mill// thats what the cost be (cosby) for them little bills//
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I have currently release my 2015 mixtape The World Is Not Enough™ on MixConnect.com & For Thos familiar with battle rap I have a battle on thw AveVerb vs Flowz Unfinished Business Card against Streatz from Carbondale
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes. dependinf on your situation in the game. Independent is the best way now due to the open pool of networking. but for the proper guidance and money yes. a deal is always good.
