Featured artist: Hafiz - Virginia’s Next R&b BadBoy
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Hafiz.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Hafiz: Becoming an artist chose me, people started to recognize my talent and love for music and asked me to start singing a few hooks for them. I eventually started taking the craft of writing seriously and began to draft up my own material.
The best advice anyone ever gave me as an artist was to learn to take constructive critisism.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I have done many live shows in various states, and I had had the opportunity to open up for a couple major industry signed artist as well, such as Chris Scholar who is signed to Motown Records as well as Lil Scrappy and Yo Gotti. Its been a blessing. But I’m looking forward to opening up for many other major acts such as Trey Songz & Chris Brown & eventually headlining my own concert.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I know my flight just landed and I got a couple minutes & I’m racing to just see you; Put your money where your mouth is, gotta talk it how you walk it cause tonight it’s all for you.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently about to release a project titled ”7Nights a week”. I have two other mixtapes on DatPiff CarpeDiem 1 & 2.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign to a major label just so I could have the resources to be reached throught the United States and abroad.
Any last words?
I would like to personally thank God first for giving me the drive and motivation to continue to do what I do. I also would like to thank my management team ”WallStreetManagement” as well as my friends and family and all my supporters!
