Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist young prince.
How did you decide to become an artist?
young prince: Since I was about 6 or 8 da older boys used to tell me to rap for em…I remember sayin sontn 1 time wen I was freestyling and they started reciting it the line. Wen I turned about 16 a guy heard I could rap and paid my studio time to rap on his mix tape. I was nervouse as anything but after pickin up everybodies vibe, and hearing epeople say how I killed it I was ready to keep doing it and it became addictive. Shortly after I started battle rapping in the local now url branch called head hunters…after going 4-0 in my area and branging a victory home in from baltimore vs grind time’s member o dubb i decided to just stick to rapping and make songs.
it takes money to make it!
What about concerts? Do you play live?
yes, ive performed at several clubs in and out of the states
Best punchline you ever wrote?
the whole scene change up like megatron/ from calm to shit gettn bombed like lebanon/ ia beat da SHOES off a nigga dis is true violence/ let em leave STAGGERING, looking for his NEW BALANCE// *I got so many this is def the hardest question
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently working on a project produced by major producer ”bink dog” . my last mix tape ”Imperial” was released on datpiff.com
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I make good money now, I own my own public studio, ascap, and copy rights, I engineer my own music currently learning to produce a beat I invest in me. I mainly would b concern wit the exposure I could get.
