Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Mr. Sawed-Off.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Mr. Sawed-Off: Back in the 8th grade, all I used to do in class was draw shoes, and write poetry. Everybody liked my poems, but one day someone told me, ”you can rap!”, and I said ”huh”. He was like ”yeah, all you gotta do is say them like a rap, instead of talking it.” So I tried it, and just like that music became a part of my life!

Well 2Pac said, ”Make music for the women, and the men will follow”!

What about concerts? Do you play live?

As a matter of fact, I have a big show coming up December 21, 2014 at the Hot Water Wherehouse, in Milwaukee, WI. So if y’all in that area, stop on in, and support yo boy! Tickets are available online at www.aftonshows.com/MrSawedOff

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Siggady Sawed-Off iz back, nigga whats da haps; The last time I saw yo face, I fuckin’ snapped, And said the next time I catch dat ass, I’m breaking backs; Today is dat day, huh, erase’em off the map, Yeah bitch it’s like that, Slap ya mammi back; When dat sad song end, press repeat, replay the track!

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

July 16, 2013, I independently released 5 albums on the same day worldwide digitally, and in physically in Wisconsin & Mississippi. By the way, all 5 albums are free on Google Play, until the date of my upcoming 2 album release, ”Ear Candy” & ”The Janitor” #Here2CleanTheGameUp

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I’m more than happy being independent, because I get 100% creative control, and that fact that I own everything, but if the majors want to do some kind of distribution deal, I’d be more than happy to take their call. But other than that, I don’t need ”The Majors” in my ear, telling me who & what ”Mr. Sawed-Off” is. I am 20 years in the the making, so I seen a lot of musical fads come and go, but my core fans & supporters, know that I will remain a constant.

Any last words?

Shoutout to my group, The Outsiderz, (thats 20 years in the making right there, R.I.P. Stone Henchcock!), Fambase, the states of Wisconsin, and Mississippi.

Most importantly, all the fans and supporters all around the world that love what we do, and how we do it. WE DO THIS FOR Y’ALL!

Where can we contact you?
