Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Parlay Starr.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Parlay Starr: Listening to 2Pac, the Album strictly for my Ni@@az. Tupac made me proud to be a Black Man. I wanted to entertain My Hood with Stories we all went through on a day to day basis. Good and Bad!!!
The best advice i ever received is to be creative and be myself 100%.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I love to perform in front of a live audience because i love to see the response. I do shows as often as possible.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
”You’re Only As Good As Your Last Transaction!”
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Im currently working on ”Lost Cloth” Volume 2. Ive released multiple albums and most recently ” Lost Cloth,” which is available on iTunes and anywhere music is sold online.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Up until this point I’ve had my own record label MostHated Mob Ent, but if the right deal came along id take it. The good thing about signing to a big label is the marketing and exposure …the bad part is losing some of your control as an artist.
