J.Noble & his quest to spit truth

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist J.Noble.

How did you decide to become an artist?

J.Noble: I was always drawn in to the hip-hop culture ever since 3rd grade. I came from a run down community being one of the only white kids at my school. Pontiac, Michigan is kind of a rough place. I didn’t get bullied or anything. I just never really felt like I fit in. I was infatuated with hip-hop when me and a few of my classmates decided to make a little rap song about Christmas. It was dope. I think I made a little bar about Christmas being near so everyone stand up and cheer or something of that nature. Although that was the wackest thing ever, the rush I felt writing and rapping as a young lad was tremendous. Fast forward that 6-7 years and I’m in 9th grade at Clarkston High filling up a notebook with 16’s. I started recording in 10th grade at older classmates house with a dope studio set up. I named myself Philosopher. I rapped and put out a few projects. I gained a little bit of local hype and a few die hard fans. When I graduated, I stopped rapping, went into some serious depression and my life went blank to everyone in the world. I came to know a completely new way of life a few months before I turned 19. I gave my life over to God through the cross of Jesus Christ. A year or so after living the new and saved life, I felt it on my heart to write. That led to me dream about rapping again but I didn’t know if that’s something God wanted me to do. Well, shortly after this thought, a few local Christian rappers came my way and I showed them some of my lyrics. They loved them and encouraged me to get my stuff out there. I went to an open mic a few weeks later and spit a song called ”Story of the Misfit” and everyone completely loved it. I felt like something sparked in me again and ever since, I’ve been writing, recording, and outing my stuff out there as far as I can possibly put it. I feel like I have an obligation to tell people what’s on my mind. I feel like I have a lot of answers for people and they’re not my answers. Th! ey’ ;re His.

Don’t stop being hot. Once you get out there, stay out there and keep putting stuff out so your name will never go away.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I do perform live. Anywhere with a mic and a sound system. I’ll drop it.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

There ain’t no stoppin’ you or toppin’ you so please teach me how to respect/ turn my page. write my book. Only you know what I need best/and it’s always line by line – on top of those are your precepts/ I used to be dead now I’m used to deep breaths/
- J.Noble

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I’m working on All Things Pt 2. The first All Things was my very first mixtape I dropped after deciding to start this hip hop thing.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

yeah I would more than likely sign to a major label. Pro- getting my message out. Con – the possibility of being forced to sell out

Any last words?
