Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Overlord Gruff.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Overlord Gruff: I used to freestyle and battle other artists in the military. It’s a lot of talent in the Armed Forces. After a while, nobody wanted to battle me anymore so I started writing lyrics. After word got around that I wanted to record music, I had embarrassed most established artists during my battles that they didn’t want to work with me. It was rough.
You gotta know you’ll make it. Before everybody else, deep down you have to believe without a drop of doubt you will be successful, you will lose weight, sleep, friendships and hope but you just know you’ll win.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I do live performances.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I’m the coldest, like snow on the necks of the Polish, I impose my wrath on you roaches, as a lyrical form of whoopass in a can I shook then exploded!
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m working on my first official release titled Lord Have Mercy.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I’m 33 and retired!! Either way, if rap don’t work, i’m walking upstairs and going back to sleep.
Any last words?
I’d like to Give a shoutout to all my Overlordz. Our operation is small, but there is room for aggressive expansion.
