What the game's been missing

Featured artist: cmatt - What the game’s been missing

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist cmatt.

How did you decide to become an artist?

cmatt: I have always loved music. My mom used to sit me in my high chair with a bowl of corn in front of the TV and torn on Michael Jackson videos to keep me content for a few hours. So I think it was just natural in me. At age 12 is when I really got into it though. My best friend Stanley Kane aka Tha Kidd really got me into it.

The best advice I’ve ever received was do what you love to do and the people wok hear the passion in it.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Back in December of 2013 I released my first project ”You can Crown Me Later” which is available on Soundcloud.com/carymatthews or Datpiff.com search you can crown me later. But I am currently working on s mixtape ”sowing my royal oats” and my next project will be ”Before the Crown”.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes I’d sign with a major label. The pros are that they help with that wider reach and the backing to do the things I want to get done. The cons are the control factor. You lose some freedom.

Any last words?

I’d like to send a shoutout to my city, my hometown Birmingham, Al and all my people back home. I’m in Illinois right now but still holding it down for tha 205. I’d like to thank all the fans that’s supported this movement.

Where can we contact you?
