Featured artist: Task - The Task At Hand
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Task.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Task: When I was 16, I started writing raps as a means of anger management. From that it became a passion of mine, and soon after that, a career goal.
Don’t rush a product. Take the time to make it the best it can be.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes, I perform live. I love being on stage in front of a crowd.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
If I ain’t dope then I’ll jump off the spoon. That’ll happen round the same time you jump off the moon.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently working on my debut album, The Task At Hand. I should be releasing the first single from it in the next couple weeks.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a record deal with a major record label. The creative freedom may decrease a little, but the promotional means and budget they could put behind my music are far beyond mine.
Any last words?
Shout out to my whole Disruptive squad, S-Daht, Scotty Benz, Clifton Bailey, and Chopper.
