Featured artist: Profit - The Gift
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Profit.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Profit: I knew I had a special gift early at the age of 12 while being in different foster homes and detention centers I started gettin into poetry, reading different books learning my craft. With so much time on my hands I started writing my poetry into a song format, teaching myself to count bars, knowing what a16 is,12 is,16 is. I practice out loud in my cell so much the staff would turn on the moniters for everybody to listen. The inmates would ask me to flow something every night and my love for the music set end.
