How did you decide to become an artist?
Da Challenger: I have always had a passion for expression and telling stories. My pops is a jazz musician and music has always been a part of my life.
Stay true to myself. Never change who I am.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I have done quite a few shows. I love being on stage.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
Just call me Irving cause I got a Magic Johnson!
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently finishing Verbal Canvas Vol. 1
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No. I’d much rather stay independent. Major front the bill upfront and tap into all your hard work the get theirs back. Plus they dictate what you write about.
