Featured artist: Shannon Keith Williams - R&B/Soul Artist, Writer, Musician & Producer
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Shannon Keith Williams.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Shannon Keith Williams: I was raised in a family of musicians and singers. At age 4, I was already making up my own songs and singing in front of big crowds at churches and different community events. I was known as ”the little songbird of the south”. All through grade school, I sang in talent showcases and excelled in Band and Chorus. I always knew that I was created and born to be a music artist! My mother told me that I would always tell her (when I was 4 years old) that I was going to be a star!
No matter how far or high you go in your career, no matter how successful you are, stay humble!
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes I do play and perform live, and have performed lived at numerous events.. Yes I will give a concert.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
You got to keep it real with me, I’m not that ordinary woman you see! Cause I’m gone keep it real I guarentee, but that’s just me just being me!
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently working on my R&B mixtape called ”My Best Features”; I have previously completed two solo cds, the first one called ”My Love” and the second one called ”Grown Woman”. ”, . I have also done numerous features for various artist.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I would sign a record contract with a major label if the terms of the contract are legit, and they don’t try to change who I am!! The pros of signing a record contract would be the security of my career, and it can or could get me the exposure that I need. On the other hand most artist get benched or a better issue is when they take control of your production and how and who you deal with.
Any last words?
I wanna give a big shout out to West GA, and the 1Strong Team Movement, BHP, and all of Atlanta, Douglasville, & Carrollton GA!
