Featured artist: Weedie - Up and coming underground artist Weedie is ready to breakout
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Weedie.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Weedie: I always had a passion for music. I use to do it for fun with my friends, but as people heard my voice they really was feeling me, so with all that support people was giving me I decided to pursue it full time
The biggest advice given to me as an artist was always stay true to my self, and never sell out
What about concerts? Do you play live?
As of now I just perform at local open mics, and showcases.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
no bel air but im fresh like will. ..plus im eating good u can call me uncle phill
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
As of now im working on 3 different mixtapes, as well as a ep album slated to be released this summer. My last mixtape Capheights hot spitter was released a few months ago on hotnewhiphop.com
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes I would if the situation is right. one pro to signing with a major label is dat they have da experience and money to really push u as an artist but however it does has its cons. to me the biggest one is dat most newly signed artists dont have full creative control over their projects
Any last words?
