Featured artist: 5th Ave - From the Apple’s Core

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist 5th Ave.

How did you decide to become an artist?

5th Ave: I was inspired by the true masters of hip hop such as KRS-One,Rakim,Big Daddy Kane,Gangstarr,Black Moon,Wu-Tang and the entire New York collective of great emcees..

Always be yourself, never follow what the next rapper does and you’ll create your own lane.

- 5th Ave

What about concerts? Do you play live?

I look forward to doing so in the NYC area this summer very frequently.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder/If you wanna see the snakes cop yourself a lawnmower

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Right now Im putting the finishing touches on the Litez Cameras Action EP which primarily consists of myself and I am working with Federal Notez Productions on a Grand Cru compilation project. The Grand Cru project consists of the best emcees never heard of before from Flatbush,Brooklyn.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes I would if the circumstances behind the deal allow the 5th Ave name to evolve into a brand..The pros dealing with a major label is that new opportunities present themselves depending on your success and work ethic, the cons are if you arent successful, you better find a new way to re-invent yourself immediately

Any last words?

I gotta give a shout out to Shawn Vegaz of Federal Notez Productions.Big Up to K Dott Keem..Special Shout to Vandeveer Estates aka Flatbush Gardens..UPS greenteam..The entire Flatbush Brooklyn..

Where can we contact you?
