Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Lil Waun.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Lil Waun: Well, It All started when I was a child, I always had a thing for music. And I first started off being a beatmaker in the local neighborhood, then i decided to write to some of my own instrumentals. I started to let people listen to my tracks and the said I had pure potential , So I decided to go with my passion . So I finally became an artist and decided to take my career more seriously, by starting my own label WaunStarr Entertainment.

The Sky is never the limit… The Unverse is… Don’t think low , Dream higher than your expectations.

- Lil Waun

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes I do venues from time to time and I perform it live at numerous functions as well, I just love to be able to share my music to the world.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

as Far as my rhyme and my time go ,Flow together like ya girl when her time when her times flow -lyrical rush/lilwaun

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Well i am currently working on my 1st EP titled ”No Genre” where i wanted to take different style to let people enjoy music from all genres… I have alot of new materials on the EP. And yes , I have done a project in the past which was mixtape entitled. ”No Strings Attached” you can find that available on my website… lilwaun.com

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

yes i would sign a deal with a major label. truthfully everybody has to start of some place? The good thing about a label is that everything will be equipped from the things you need to make the ablum or project to do swell, on the otherhand, the cons could be if the artist didn’t do like they thought it was , they will more and likely drop you and freeze everything. i would perfer more of a deal where i have mostly all control of over what i love!!!!

Any last words?

Yeah first off i want to give a shoutout to god and all my fans for making this happen. I want to thank my manager Lasherrelle Star and the crew for standing behind me through thick and thin.. I want to thank Ghost Coast music for the help on the first album. I want to thank the city of Nashville for making this happen. I want to thank my family for the support they give also. And i want to give a shoutout to all the ladies and to Rapbeats for the exclusive interview. thanks
