Featured artist: Nam Nitty - The Man That Shall Be Named KING!!!
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Nam Nitty.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Nam Nitty: Music has always been apart of my life but if its one moment, its gotta be when I seen ”Krush Groove” at 6 years old.
Witnessing RUN of RUN-DMC control the crown was a turning point.
I knew what I wanted to be right then.
Stay Focused… Parrish Smith (PMD of EPMD) would always tell me to remain focused to reach the goal I wish to obtain. He would tell me to continue to work on my craft because its no limit to where it could take me.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes, I am currently on ”THE COUNTY LINE TOUR”with several other great unsigned artist here on long island.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
#ALLHAILKINGNAM631
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I am currently working on the 6th installment to my mixtape series ”THIS IS NOT A MIXTAPE” scheduled for a 4-4-14 release. ALL of my mixtape S can be downloaded for free on www.datpiff.com
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, I would sign with a major… but in the same breath its anything wrong with bring independent. Pros is the push, that marketing & promoting push you get from the right major can change your life. The cons is being on a major label that dont kno how to move the product on a major scale so its just shelved. So to me, being on a majo r can go either way.
Any last words?
I wanna give a shout out to my comrades…
S.S.P
Mad Max, Suckafree, Yung Ox & Thugga.
”The new N.W.A”
Shout out to the home team… South Huntington, Long Island.
Everybody from the South Side to the Station to Greenlawn.
