Featured artist: J.I. - Mixtape GOLDMINDS Coming Soon
My brother told me never to stop making music and chasing my dreams, it only gets better with the more you do.
Upcoming underground artist J.I. just answered some questions. Checkout the interview below and share if you like it.
Thanks for your time. How did you decide to become an artist?
J.I.: I started rapping when I was little for the fun of it and have always been passionate about art for as long as I can remember but honestly what really made me push my music further was the lack of positive influences from Chicago. I feel what I bring to the table is something that can play a big factor in Chicago rise in the music industry
What about concerts? Do you play live?
currently no, but I plan on starting back live performances when the time is right
Best punchline you ever wrote?
and I aint talkin no hard shit or no trill shit im just doin me how the hell they talkin real shit but on the real niggas got truer jeans how the hell they say they kill shit but your big dog cant even kill a flea competition like blind men cuz im paintin pics that they couldnt see
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Right now I have a few Mixtape that I’m heavily working on, of course my solo mixtape, one with my right – hand man Kid Smoke, and one with the whole clique CBD
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
yes, I would sign with Def Jam because they give a lot of good opportunities and they have a lot of major influences as far as how to become your own self made boss. The only reason I wouldn’t sign with Def Jam is if I wanted to build my own major indy label
Shoutouts and credits to the fam?
S/of the whole ’Clique w/ Big Dream’ crew , my near – future camera men Flyty and Moneystrong, We Majors own Dj Shon, low end Chicago and my family friends and supporters
So how can we contact you?
J.I.: follow my twitter @JI_JuniorMUSIC
Thank's for your answers, keep grindin'.
