Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist U.H.S.A.S.I.N.(Assassin).
How did you decide to become an artist?
U.H.S.A.S.I.N.(Assassin): Actually,it was by mistake. I grew up wanting to play professional sports like every little boy. My cousin was a inspiring dj at that time. He taught me mostly about the sound of music and how it can overlap, twist and turn inside the eardrum. I was 6 years old hooked on music and it changed my life. I started off writing poetry but when EPMD hit the airwaves,I immediately becam a hip-hop emcee.
The best advice I was given was and I quote,”You will never make it so stop trying.”
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I’ve performed live shows at KINGDOM(Richmond,Va) and The Camel (Richmond,Va)
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I had the illest dream of fainting on stage, droppin the illest verse//the headline reads,Ayo he died but he kilt it first//
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently working on my album entitled,”Buyer Beware”. I’m also promoting our clothing line called F.R.E.S.H. Which stands for Family Respect Equality Success Honor.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the situation. If the money is right and I have total creative control over my music, thoughts, and actions then yes. If not,no because of industry rule #4080
Any last words?
First and foremost, all praise due to THE MOST HIGH. Shout out to my sunz Naeem and Nasir,Richmond,Va for making me who I am til this day. My Dirt Brother Fam/Street Team,My F.R.E.S.H. Family, all my fans, listeners, and supporters from various states and countries such as: Miami,Utah,OKC,Detroit,Africa,Australia,Hawaii,Kansas,California,Italy, and the entire universe…Ase’
