Featured artist: 24Kay - The 24 Takeover
As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist 24Kay from Atlanta to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...
Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, 24Kay! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?
24Kay: I became an artist because, since a child i always was attempting to rap and write poems. The older i got the more i started to understand how creating music went.
The best advice given to me as an artist is, It's really easy when you don't try. In so many ways remain to be yourself and you don't have to try hard to make it to where you want to be.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes, i play live and give concerts because it's part of being an upcoming artist & just an artist in general.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I got more punches than a boxer.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I'm working on a lot right now. I don't want to say to much on it because, people watching my every move.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes i would sign with a major record label due to them having plugs and resources i don't currently have when it comes to the music industry. There are pros and cons to every situation you put yourself in, what matters is how you maneuver everything.
Any last words?
Big shoutout to Georgia and New York.
Where can people follow you to stay up-to-date?
