As part of our ongoing "Rap's New Generation" series, today we sat down with the upcoming underground artist Tone Montana from Wise co to talk about his recent music, his upcoming projects, his career advice and his overall experiences being in the music industry and he did not disappoint...

Thanks for taking the time to talk with us, Tone Montana! Let's go back to the beginning of your career. How did you decide to become an artist?

Tone Montana: I remember setting in class my 5th grade year remind you this is in the 90's she's teaching and all I can do is write gangster raps she be calling my name and I couldn't here nothing but NWA and Tupac in my head that's when I knew I was gonna be a hip hop artist

Believe in your talent and invest in yourself nothing is free in this world.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes I do alot of shows in Bristol TN at the local VFW Post they have a great staff and have really showed alot of love but I do travel to other states fir shows as well

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

Right now I'm finishing up my new Bottom feeders album I have great expections for this as it's full of heart and soul and is very relatable

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would if my condition were met but I see no need for it in today's market as more and more independent artist are making there mark .
