Featured artist: LoMane - MEEZ TELL EM WE HERE!
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist LoMane.
How did you decide to become an artist?
LoMane: During the historical Hurricane Katrina evacuation time period, the fact I was aware of my musical immaturity. I was musically inspired and took great liking in the off the dome freestyle, grimy, lyrical, and vicious punchline based rapping style that my cousin Corey "C.O." Jason displayed as we would have family cyphers. I used his creativity to incorporate this style into my music in such a beginners way to have a foundation to build on from a young age.
The best advice that was given to me as an artist, is "Trust Your Process!"
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes, I do play live. I have done over 8 performances in the New Orleans area.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I stay away from the Goofys, and Mickeys, and Minnie's, and pull up on Betty Bop.
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
My current catalog consist of mixtapes such as: #24Karatz, 23 24, 8824, Confined, Arsenal, and Heated Winter.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would sign a major record deal.
The pros about that would be a consistent long term deal including a distribution deal.
The cons of that would be losing a percentage of money from sales.
Any last words?
I want to give a shout out to my whole city! New Orleans,LA!
