Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Gapoe TheGreat.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Gapoe TheGreat: I Have Always RAPPED Since My First Cd I Ever Owned Back when I was Like 8 Years Old. But Only Really Freestyle Stuff. Got Older And That's Pretty Much All Me & My Homies Did Was Rap. Started A Group Called N.T.P. (North Texas Playas) But Never Did Anything Serious With It. Then I Got Into Some Trouble At 17 That Ended Up Having Me Do A 4yr Prison Term & That Is When I Started Actually Composing Bodies Of Music. Educated Myself On What I Could Via Books &I Once I Got Out I Just Went All In. During My Time Though I Linked Up With Some Cats That Were Mentally & Spiritually Inclined The Way That I Was & They Called Themselves Cash Kings. So Once I Got Home I Came To Dallas From My Little Country Town That I'm From Bonham Tx & Got With Who I Call My Brother Slam Dunk. Recreated Cash Kings For The Music Business into CKMG (Cash Kings Music Group) & I Just Been Putting In The Leg Work Since!

To Just God Me Whenever It Comes To The Creative Side Of Making My Music & To Secure Myself & My Brand/Camp NO MATTER WHAT When It Comes To The Business Side Of Things.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yeah I Did All The Open Mics Throught The City. Even Linked Up With A Guy Who Ended Up Being The NBA Player Marcus Smart's Older Brother Michael Smart & His Little Entertainment Called One Love Ent. I Did Two Shows With Them & The Migos Meaning We Paid For The Migos To Show, We Controled The Venue All That. Then Two Months After That, March of Last Year Matter Fact, We Flew To New York & Did A Follow Up Show With Them again & Dj Self From love & Hip Hop at The Club Space Ibiza.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Three Bad Bitches On Me At The Same Time That's A Dog Pile, Yeah The Way I Hop Into The Pussy Will Make A Frog Smile. Lol

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I'm Currently Just Working On My Creativity When It Comes To Putting Bars Together. I Recently Last Year Released A Freestyle Mixtape Titled Too Easy. The Concept Was Pretty Much Self Explanatory From The Title. I Wanted To Show That I Dont Even Have To Put Any Thought By Writing Or Pre Rehearsing Any Song Just Straight Freestyle And Still Make A Better Body Of Music Song For Song Than Anyone In My Area. I Released It On YouTube Along With Plenty More Other Recent Singles.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

It All Depends On The Contract Itself But Right Now I've Done So Much By Myself I'm Looking More Towards Distribution For My Label CKMG.

Any last words?

First Shout Out Has To Go To The Most High! All Praise! But After That My Squad, My Family CKMG & Everyone That's Been Solid From The Beginning Its Been A Rough Journey. Shout Out To One Of My Producers Fly Stevie Blakkman. Shout Out B Town 903! Shout Out To All My Core Fans. And All My Niggas Still Locked Up Especially All My Cash King Brothers. We Ready For Y'all Fr.
