Relentless Hustler, Black Hefner

Featured artist: Slim Goody - Relentless Hustler, Black Hefner

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Slim Goody.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Slim Goody: The decision came when I was about four or five, but I didn't quite know yet. You know how we all want to be a firefighter or a wrestler something like that. Of course all of that was up for grabs as well. But watching my father play instruments as well as hundreds of Records nightly, really inspired and kept alive the piano spirit in me. The rap hip-hop side of me I would say comes from a brother born in the 70s playing all the hottest eighties and nineties rap… from Jay-Z, Nas, biggie, Tupac, and one of my favorites, twista, and even a little big L. when I wasn't listening to Frankie Beverly and Maze ,Luther Vandross, Prince, Michael Jackson, Anita Baker and nate king cole before his late daughter natalie. How did I decide? I don't think I did, I feel like I was made.

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes I do play live. I haven't played any concerts live just with a band accompanied. I do have several videos that you can find on my Facebook page. Where I go live playing live piano over the tracks that I'm creating.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

Yes, a dutch punchline please. I got a 40 cal and a Glock to squeeze. Is it bad to say that i can guarantee that they'll spread like a transmitted disease.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

I am currently working on 3rd projectb"Dark Horse". After releasing "Necessary Roughness", i teamed up with my production partner Ryan B. and we're now wrapping up "Rebels & Vouchers". He just dropped "Raw" on Spinrilla last month, and im all over that project as well. Relentless Hustler and Black Hefner clothing and media services. ( www.blackhefner.com) My brother in law is the founder of that situation, but im the face of Black Hefner and Artist courtesy of Relentless Hustler. Brand new Facility should be complete by November.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

I would happily take a distribution deal, because im expected to do the things I already want to do. Contrary to plenty peoples beliefs, major labels do sign many artists, but you don't hear much and most get dropped by the label. So to answer the question, it depends on the deal. No 360 or production, a major deal would insinuate i was ready for a global takeover (Flattering). A distribution would be perfect for MY situation.

Any last words?

I want to shout out Steve Relentless Hustle ENT. I want to give a shout out to my production team the Dumdkids. Shout out to all the black Hefner models in every city, you are appreciated. I want to shout out everybody that ever purchased anything from the black hefner website and anybody that requested. Everybody that rock with me, support me in whatever way they can, and can dig my live Sound. And appreciate my art, thank you….. What up Chi-City!
