Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Surg3.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Surg3: I've been involved with music as long as I can remember! From beat boxing to drumming on the school lunch room tables lol!! Growing up I watched my uncles, aunties, cousins and mother participate in some sort of music. Afther my second prison sentence for selling drugs!! I told myself I need to do something with my life. I always felt like I had a story that needed to be told. My City/State has so much history! I just decided I wanted to be a voice for my people!
Best advice I've got honestly is if you want the job done you gotta do it yourself! I hear this saying with almost everything so it made sense to me.
Now I take pride in doing things myself bring out my inner genius!!!
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I started out playing live! From singing in the shower, to performing in front of friends and family.
So when I finally got the chance to perform I was almost a natural. At least thats how I felt.
Performed many concerts with my bros out of wisconisn Throttle Clan! Im apart of that movement also in many ways!! It's usually a movie when we get together!!
Best punchline you ever wrote?
From the cradle to the grave/ whoever would of known this a be the place that I will hang/placing flowers and teddy bears on all these different names!
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I just Finished up my Mixtape entitled Traplif3!!

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Anything can happen!!! Im not opposed to signing with a major label!! For me I want to control what I put out to the people, I've done so much to create my sound, So that aspect cant be forced to change! Im open mined and up for different ideas. It's my story so I have to write the book and if that make sense!
