Young V$ On the ATM Getaway

Featured artist: Young V$ - Young V$ On the ATM Getaway

Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Young V$.

How did you decide to become an artist?

Young V$: I feel like we are all artist in some shape form or fashion. So I never really made the decision to be an artist. It’s actually more of a lifestyle for me and my Team. I decided to reveal my artistry to the public back in November of 2014 with the release of ”Fuck You Pay Me” the Mixtape. Which was sort of an welcome back tape for me after being gone for a while. I mainly chose to release my artistry to the public on a larger level because I feel like there are Teens and Young Adults who may be able to learn from me or my music. The influence hip hop artist carry today is great. I remember having late night conversations with Compton’s Gorilla Black & H City’s own Cali Bravo. Without those words of support and motivation towards something positive there’s really no telling where I would be. I make music to inspire people to be themselves and Enjoy life stress free, while striving to be successful.

The best advice I’ve gotten in my career & something I communicate with my artist often is, ” Persistency & Consistency is what defines an artist, without drive your path can’t be Driven. ” (P.Harris)

What about concerts? Do you play live?

Yes. I have a lot of live performances. I actually just did Coast2Coast Live La Edition at Club Dragonfly in Hollywood,Ca. If you would like to check it out. It’s available for viewing and downloads YouTube under https://youtu.be/aB99zorwj_cr. (Laughs…) Sorry for laughing its just that I’m actually doing a lot of prepping for an official concert. But I don’t have a date set yet. My plans are to release DC Ca$’s ” Lax & Aviation ” as well as my New ” Getaway ” Ep Hosted By DJ Cheeseburger & DjRobbyDee. So the Concert will definitely be coming to a city near you on the Getaway Tour over the next month or 2.

Best punchline you ever wrote?

” At 13 I fell in love with the pen and started tatting my ink/ my hustles my art I paint whatever I think / so whenever I speak… Man respect my thoughts / because I am creativity ,definition of art ” Young V$ ATM Official Pres.

What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?

As I touched on briefly earlier. I previously released ” Fuck You Pay Me ” The Mixtape which was 15 records of non-stop metaphors ,gritty Bars and Lingo blended well over Well known Records that still get spins today on air. After dropping that tape and touring with Jess Jones and Dj Jayali on the ”Get Money Stop Hating ” Tour. I went right back to work on a compilation tape Titled ” Lax Lifestyles ”. Featuring some of the hottest artists in Cali. I brought out DC Ca$,DxBill,Bleu j & Mag Zilly (who I later signed to the label, Art2Money Inc.) OFB Yung from Cali Swagg & Ysd $hoota came thru with a hit record titled, ”Living Young”. So in turn I released ” ATMod ”,” Tasha Mac ” & ” Loyalty’s a *itch ” featuring Ronald Isley Sample vocals. I’ve been hard at work as of late on my new project, ” The Getaway” Ep. Which will be released before the end of the summer. The Getaway Ep has records produced by B Down,( RedCartelMusicGroup ) Don Mega, (1017 Kartel) and MJ Nichols, Poetic Killa and NickScott.

Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

Yes, I wouldn’t have a problem with signing to a major label as long as My Team is incorporated in that deal. At the moment I have deals on the table with 1017 Kartel and Red Cartel Music group. But I’m leaning more toward Red Cartel being that it’s a second family for me. When speaking on pros and cons there are many different reasons why not to sign and why to sign it all depends on the artist . If you don’t have a budget and debt know much about music bug to rap, then a deal may not be a bad option but if you want to really release your brand as an artist with creative control then indie is the route to do so. That’s what Art 2 Money is all about. We believe in granting our artist creative control while at the same time building their brand for distribution to larger markets.
