How did you decide to become an artist?
C.P Da Ruler: I been writing music since age 12. I remember my older brothers would listen to onyx /N.W.A /easy E/ nas and big L rapping all types of lyrics to each other. My moms would get mad cause the house sounded like a big party. Anyways I would listen to the cassette tapes yea I’d play it to the end flip it and play it again when they were gone. just zone out for hours sometime fall asleep listening. As I grew older I would write music and remixes to songs and let ppl hear it and they told me it was dope! Then I wanted to create my own tape that people could listen and zone out to like an outlet that I had when I was. Younger.
I was reading a column about eminem he said ” you are only as good as your last verse” that motivated me in so many ways
What about concerts? Do you play live?
No live shows yet but I’ve performed in Brooklyn S.O.B’s and night clubs allot I’ll be doing this summer look out for that ahh ahh.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
bottles on me a nigga loving this line light/ niggas drop mixtapes can’t even rhyme right/ any bar I spit colder than Klondikes / I’m balling fuck with a king lebrons wife
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I’m currently working on a E.P called ”burry me a ruler” it’s Gonna have about 6-7 tracks straight hits lol hope everyone enjoys that
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I wouldn’t mind signing a major deal. They have access to allot of venues and events they grows an artist fan base. The cons are u have a percentage to give back but ain’t nothing in the game free everything is business u have to be a business man ah ah
