Featured artist: Yung Tub - Yung Tub Interview: Talk On Up An Coming Artist
Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Yung Tub.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Yung Tub: Um. I decided to become an artist after I saw my cousin Morris Day perform for the first time.
It was the probably one of the most exciting thing I have ever done.
Always take pride in your music, be humble about it, and more importantly always practice.
What about concerts? Do you play live?
I havent in a while. When I was starting off I did talent shows and shows around the Minneapolis, St. Paul area. But right now im more focused on writing.
Best punchline you ever wrote?
”I Got A Rhyme Sickness, Urges to point out nitwits with no ambition” 140 Barz Of Fire
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
Right now im working on my debut album B.M.O.C. I’ve done a couple singles like ”Hold It Down” and ”Can’t Stop My Grind”.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Well it would depend. Because not all labels are good major labels. A good label would consist to me on how they Put me out. I dont want to have to visit 50 places a week. Because that puts me back on making music.
Any last words?
I want to shout out to Wyte Wayne, Kj, Dj Yung L, New Definition, LiL’ Gang$ta and Of course them Twin Cities!
