Below is a short interview with the upcoming underground artist Une3kK.
How did you decide to become an artist?
Une3kK: Kareem Bin-Salamon otherwise known as "Une3kK" was born and raised in Southside Virginia and has always had a strong interest in music of all sorts from being exposed to many different genres in his house hold as a child. At the age of 13 Une3kK Moved to Hampton, Virginia where he meet his love for Hip-Hop and pursued his interest in writing music and also teaching himself how to formulate, Mix, Record and polish his own music. After a year of practicing and honing his craft he moved to Charlotte North Carolina and then found his love of performing, after having his first taste of being a performer his destiny was then set in stone. Now currently living in Drakes Branch Virginia at the age of 20 he has shown great evolution in his craft and is now starting to really make a mark among his journey in Hip-Hop. His music consists of real life emotions, experiences, and circumstances all of which has made him the person that he is today. Une3kK says that his main goal is to simply change the world with his words and to maybe help an individual that can relate to his topics and that he says will complete his mission as an artist and as a person. Une3kK Is now an Kenius Ent. Artist and is strongly supported by Skyward Marketing & Management.
My best advice given to me as an artist is to simple be humble, be great full of your accomplishments and always remain true to yourself. With those key aspects your destiny can be reached
What about concerts? Do you play live?
Yes i do perform live when the opportunity is presented its a truly blissful experience each and every time
Best punchline you ever wrote?
I took the machete and chopped the beat up, i took all of the pieces and ate it for lunch, it was sorta a crunch as i munch with digust, but i must cause im nutz and i suffer from lust, so i bust with affection, with no recollection, i heard this beat and got an erection, corruption, you rappers are nothing, just meant for consumption…..
What are you currently working on? Did you release something in the past?
I currently have released two mixtapes and i am now working on my Ep, along with my debut Titled: Epiphany, i also have a few promotional projects in the works as well.
Last but not least: Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No, for me a record deal and or contract is not my goal, i strive to be a movement of my own power, Independent music to me is more accomplishing in my personal opinion. Labels look for whats trending and alot of times that of which is trending is really not the Hip-Hop that i support with FEW exceptions. Now a days there are indie artist that are not only making a name for themselves but are also bringing in substantial capital that CANNOT be ignored.
